Preliminary words 01-2019

The first issue of the journal "Contemporary Linguistics" for 2019 is now out. We are proud that in this issue we are also publishing the scientific contributions of linguists' students and doctoral candidates. From this booklet, we are expanding the rubrics and adding a new section, which we conditionally call Linguistic Essays. We are also sending an official invitation to Bulgarian teachers to offer a place and space in which their talented students can present their observations related to linguistic thinking and linguistic knowledge.

The texts in vol. 1 have been reviewed by anonymous reviewers - linguist specialists, before being printed in the journal. Our idea is to expand the diversity of text models with each subsequent issue, to include foreign young researchers, in order to respond to some contemporary needs of Bulgarian linguistics: interdisciplinarity, as well as the international implementation and exchange of scientific information related to Bulgarian studies around the world.
In this issue of the magazine, we offer an interview with Prof. Dr. of Philology Ivan Dobrev, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. of Philology Maya Bayramova. The two linguists answer some current questions, as well as highlight extremely valuable observations on processes important to our language. The magazine is also honored by the interview with Boyko Vassilev from the Bulgarian National Television, in which the prominent Bulgarian journalist shares his current thoughts on the dynamics of language processes today. The conversation with the talented Bulgarian writer Emilia Dvoryanova is extremely important and very interesting.

We are proud that the magazine is published in its paper version. There is nothing more valuable for the fate of a book than leaving a memory behind, and when the memory preserves the texts of young researchers, this is not just a beginning, but a fateful connection with the problems of linguistics.
