## Parasitic or Pragmatic Words and Speech Reality

This language note examines the problem of the use of so-called parasitic words (which I consider an outdated formulation) and the impact of this process on society and social reality. Parasitic words (sometimes sounds or expressions) are those parts of a sentence that are not a real carrier of information and are used to avoid silence or to "decorate" speech. Often their presence is associated with uncertainty on the part of the speaker.

**Key words:** parasitic words, speech, language.

## “Catch Words and Phrases” in Modern Youth Speech

Linguistic parasites are our support when speaking, they buy us time and seemingly (usually from the speaker's point of view) make thought more fluent and convincing. It is no coincidence that Prof. Vladko Murdarov calls them crutches and annoying patches of speech.

## With- and Without-Subject Grammatical Expressions in Pre-School Age: Semantic and Structural Aspects

**Abstract:**This paper examines the problem of subject acquisition in preschool age. Sentences with both explicit and implicit subjects are analyzed with the purpose to specify the correlation between syntactic function and semantic roles in subject position. Empirical data is gathered from two separate recordings of child-adult dialogs. The child in the first dyad is 2; 2 years old and in the second one is 6; 6, so the specific achievements in the acquisition of sentences with explicit and implicit subjects could be viewed in both early and late stages of pre-school age.

**Keywords:**semantics, syntax, semantic roles, subject, child language, preschool age.

## Features of the Dialect of the Settlements, situated along the Yat Border in the Vicinity of Ihtiman and Pazardzhik

**Abstract:**The text is part of a master's thesis on “Peculiarities in the speech of the settlements located near the border in Ihtimansko and Pazardzhik”. It refers to the speech in the village of Slavovitsa (Pazardzhik), which belongs to the territorial scope of the Ihthyman speech. The text describes some more specific phonetic and morphological features of speech. Attention has also been paid to historical changes in its phonetic system. ## “Take the Smartphones Out!” – the Choice of a Generation of Teachers and Students or the Key Role of Technologies in Developing of Learning Skills in Bulgarian Language and Literature Lesson in 6th Grade

**Abstract:**The modern dynamic world offers too many different challenges in all aspects of our existence. We live in a reality in which creativity, ability for versatile thinking; complex skills and adaptability are more valuable than the amount of knowledge in a given sphere. The school becomes a centre for acquiring fundamental skills and competences required for the dignified existence of a person, and learning throughout one’s whole life becomes a necessity and reality.

One of the contemporary unconventional ways of learning is e-learning. It is an online process based on instructions and put into effect via computers. Electronic means enable students to feel more intrigued by the content and to perceive learning as something entertaining and pleasant, which can bring new knowledge to them (one of the major objectives of a teacher).

**The aim**of this paper is to research the possibilities for the development of the key competence “Ability to Study” in the teaching of Bulgarian Language and Literature through the application of various digital resources.

## French Culture Model in the Obutuaries and Death Notices in Bulgarian Renaissance Press

**Abstract:**Death is always scandalous, and this image of it passes through various cultural notions, both in Eastern and Western Europe. Depending on the perception of God or Gods, this taboo is more or less silenced. In this sense, obituaries and death notices are an evolutionary growth of the consciousness of society as a phenomenon of talking about death. This genre has developed and imposed in the Bulgarian cultural space since the mid-1850s, which in a way marks the maturity of the Bulgarian revivals and modernizes the image of the Bulgarian Renaissance.

**Keywords:**Death, obituaries, death notices, model, developing, newspapers.
