## Mysticism and colour in Radichkov’s novelletes “Crazy grass“, “A hedgehog“ and “Fear“: Bulgarian-Czech translatological analysis

The aim of this paper is to present how local colour and the mystical elements in Radichkov's novellas were translated into the Czech language. It is commonly accepted that local colour elements are weakened in the translation into foreign language, but they do not have to be neglected. Colour elements not only signalise foreign locality, but can enrich the target language, because of that, our aim is to find if some of the colour elements were kept and which translation procedures were used.

## The cliche in the speech of Bulgarian politicians

The purpose of this research is the Political cliché as a particular language phenomenon, typical for the Political speech, which is a stereotyped language expression, characterized by its frequent use, leading to the wearing out and the banalization of the speech. Its usage is tracked among the Bulgarian politicians and it is concluded, that in their speech there is too much predictability and too little original and own thoughts. The cliché in the Bulgarian politician’s speech represents a typical Brussels template, used as a means, with which the politicians are able to manipulate from a safe distance. The material used in the current research is composed of political speeches, published in media sources from 2010 to 2015 and the sessions in the Parliament between 1991 and august 2015. Some of the reviewed clichés are transparency, (political) backstage, tangibility, strategy, urgent measures, vision, priorities, etc.

## On the issue of translating the series "The Magnificent Century" into Polish, Bulgarian and Russian

The main issues addressed in this article are the accuracy of translation and the methods used by translators to translate expressions of custom, titles, degrees, and vocabulary related to Islam, which from a European perspective constitutes oriental vocabulary. The lexis under examination is based on dialogues between the characters in the popular and controversial Turkish TV series "The Magnificent Century," which tells the story of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Suleiman the Magnificent, and his love for the Slavic slave girl Roksolana (Hürrem). The translators had to make an important decision: to what extent and in what manner to convey the typical vocabulary of Islamic culture to Slavic-speaking (Polish, Bulgarian, and Russian) audiences, largely belonging to Christian cultures. After analyzing the material, it turns out that most of the original phrases and vocabulary were preserved primarily in the Russian translation, while in the Polish and Bulgarian translations, the translators tried to avoid using vocabulary from the Muslim vocabulary.
